Apple unleashed hell upon planet Earth today via a complete refresh of the iPod line, iTunes 10 (with Ping and AirPlay ), an all-new Apple TV (at a quarter the size of the original plus Netflix), and a preview of iOS 4.1 with the Xbox Live-like Game Center.

Sorry for the update delay, folks, but I do have a life outside of GUIGalaxy. Ok, I don’t. I did have to get quarantined from that monkey bite, however. Anyway, today we have faster iMacs, 12-core Mac Pros, 27″ Cinema Displays, and a brand new device, the Magic Trackpad. Bizzidy BAM!

GUIGalaxy has been painstakingly redesigned by a squadron of top-notch creative/programming specialists (e.g. a couple 12 year-old hentai forum mods … e.g., me). Please enjoy the new surroundings, while we resume giving you the not-so-latest news from around planet Earth on what kinda matters to you a bit.

Sorry for the non-update yesterday, folks, but my dry, bony little fingers were too nervous to type in anticipation of today’s APPLE “LATEST CREATION” EXTRAVAGANZA! With some claiming to already have photos of a late-production Apple tablet, that mythical product announcement seems like a shoe-in. Although, wouldn’t it be funny, after all this mega-hype, if the tablet didn’t even exist? …No? Not even a little? In any case, stay tuned to live coverage from the event to get the latest as it happens!

So here we have it, folks. An event is confirmed by Apple for January 27th at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, with the above promotional graphic proclaiming “Come see our latest creation.” Could this at long last be the greatest technological device in the history of Mankind: the Apple tablet? Or perhaps some Core i5 MacBook Pros? Or even iPhone OS 4.0? The suspense is delicious!

Macally’s CES line-up has made its debut, and there are loads of new Apple-complimentary goodies to behold. Some examples include the ISHOCKX, a very PS3-like USB digital/analog game controller, TuneFan, a 2.1 stereo system with a subwoofer and cooling fan, and AmpTune, a stereo speaker system which charges your iPhone/iPod.

Today Apple unleashed new and updated products upon planet Earth. Hardware-wise: iMac up to 27″ with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 Nehalem processor, unibody MacBook up to a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, and the Mac mini up to 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and a 500GB HD. Peripheral-wise: a brand new redesigned Bluetooth mouse (thank goodness, the current one blows), the Magic Mouse, which uses trackpad-esque multi-touch gestures. I already bought one. And last but not least, a redesigned Apple Remote, which inherits the look of the nano, going the clickwheel route.
