At gamescom 2010 in Germany, Yoshinori Ono revealed his plans to create an ultimate all-Hoff version of Street Fighter 4. As a wise man once said, “There are many dying children out there whose last wish is to meet me. And, fight in me versus me combat in a Street Fighter game.”

Been a while since I’ve posted anything Street Fighter-related, but hot damn lookie lookie! New York agency Ammirati‘s typographic ads for the forthcoming Super Street Fighter IV are flat-out awesome.

Daddy like! IGN reports that next month Capcom will be releasing Street Fighter IV for the iPhone, complete with Bluetooth two-player fighting. Art assets were taken directly from its console big brother‘s code, so they’ve promised a complete faithful recreation of the experience. Since how the controls handle is a large concern, Capcom will offer a number of control configurations so players can find their favorite position, button transparency, and set-up.

Santa Ana streetwear brand Triumvir has collaborated with Capcom previously to produce Street Fighter-specific clothing. Their new custom collection (more high concept than character shirt prints), the Psycho Brigade, is currently being artfully teased via this site. DO WANT.

Earlier this year, GameArtisans.org held a contest to design a Street Fighter character bust. The above design of M. Bison by character artist Mike Kime somehow only managed to come in 2nd place. Now however, it’s been digitally painted and the full gallery of the completed design, and overall creative process, is absolutely unreal.
